Hi.

My mail comes from a Solaris box. I believe that the Sun is running some imap
software called Courier. I usually connect to this using a Thunderbird client
running the imap protocol. Things usually work. I installed Zoe, version 0.59. I
set up my account as follows, Imap, leave messages on server, enable this
account. Initially (i.e. for the first couple of hours) everything worked fine.
Then I started to get interesting error messages in the log. My laptop began to
drag and Zoe appeared to have run out of steam. I tried restarting it with a
larger memory allocation. I tried running it with the server VM. In both client
and server VM cases, I ran with Sun's 1.4.2 implementation. The error messages
look like this:

07/05 09:38:01 (Warning) IMAPFolder.open: javax.mail.MessagingException: A9507
NO EXAMINE failed: Unable to open file /var/tmp/pico.629826~;
  nested exception is:
	com.sun.mail.iap.CommandFailedException: A9507 NO EXAMINE failed: Unable to
open file /var/tmp/pico.629826~
07/05 09:38:02 (Warning) IMAPFolder.open: javax.mail.MessagingException: A9532
NO EXAMINE failed: Unable to open file /var/tmp/pico.629873~;
  nested exception is:
	com.sun.mail.iap.CommandFailedException: A9532 NO EXAMINE failed: Unable to
open file /var/tmp/pico.629873~
07/05 09:38:02 (Warning) IMAPFolder.open: javax.mail.MessagingException: A9539
NO EXAMINE failed: Unable to open file /var/tmp/pico.526622~;

So, what's going on? Why is Zoe killing my machine? Why is it trying to access
files in /tmp on the server? What can I do to make it better?

thanks

Colin
