I'm not at my other system at the moment, but this is a Linux System,
(Suse Linux), Sun JDK 1.4.2, with >40'000 messages.

I've seen it happen to both; as both at the moment read from the same pop accounts,
and it doesnt happen to both at the same time, I think that it is not caused
by a specific email message ...

No, I always start it with the -Duser.name=... option, as a Windows Service actually,
so no possibility to mistype the name or something.
I use Java Service Wrapper to make this a windows service, btw
(see http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/).
And even if I would, shouldnt it just use the old DB and mails, as soon as I use the
proper OS account again?

Anyway, I hope this helps a bit, and thanks for the answers so far.

Cheers,
