inverse the month and day information:

Yep... those dates are not properly formatted. Check "3.3. Date and 
Time Specification" in RFC 2822 for the formal syntax:

In a nutshell, the date part is defined as "day month year". Your 
headers are formatted as "month day year"... not going to work :)
