Hmmm... are you sure that the app is running? Is it running on your 
local machine? Is there another service using port number 10110? This 
most likely is something quiet basic :)

You can always try to telnet to the POP3 server directly to see if it 
works:

% telnet 127.0.0.1 10110
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
+OK Hi
