timestereoooooooo..........

i ordered some stuff from timestereo a month or so and i got it last 
week. god i love HNIA... all of this stuff is just so awesome...

but the thing i wanted to mention the most is this New Grape album... 
jumping jehosephat, it's awesome. seriously one of the strangest and 
most beautiful things i've ever heard... simply amazing. and ive only 
listened to it 3 times so far!!!

for those who dont know or are interested, it's basically Dara on 
vocals and Warn doing all the crazy noise stuff... lots of fast 
forwardy sounds, TONS of distortion, all sorts of other weirdness... 
(i know everyone hates comparisons like these but) a few tracks are 
like Loveless, but there's some glitchy cut-up type vocals... and 
this was done in 1994!!!!! 


and apparently this album was sent to 4ad who rejected it cause it 
was "too fast" (and noisy, and distorted, and weird, and unsettling, 
and uncommercial etc). it certainly doesnt sound like it wouldve 
really been fit for 4ad to release, but if it had been, this album 
would probably be a total underground classic by now...

or maybe not. one can dream anyway.


but anyway, yeah. warn rules. has anyone heard Dara's album? it's 
apaprently a 1 sided vinyl LP available from Ecstatic Peace, and like 
500 copies were made. i'd love to hear it, altho i dont really have a 
record player unfortunately... i guess it's still available, at least 
from the label and from forced exposure, too...
