No one ever has only *one* moral obligation.  The question is how we 
negotiate our way through the various obligations that we have.

Knowing that you have facilitated further problems down the road?  Knowing 
that, having proved that you will ignore the answer to the question that 
already exists, people might ignore whatever new answer you come up with, 
too?
