>I'm also tired of hearing about how other killers are Christians, but
we don't brand all Christians because of them. It's a worthless point.
>People like Tim McVeigh (not a Christian, I know, but a popular
example) are isolated nutjobs who are not claimed by the religious
>establishment.
This is false, Paul. And often, the lone nuts get financial support. There are fundraisers for people who shoot doctors, blow up clinics and so on. The guy who shot Dr. Tiller may have been a lone nut, but it is dishonest to suggest he functioned in a lone vaccuum. Pro-life groups showed up to support him at trial.
Then there is the National Liberation Front of Tripura (India), which has advocated killing Hindus (and their children). They get money from Tripura's Baptist Church. The KKK saw themselves as explicitly a Christian organization. Russian National Unity is tied to a bombing of a US Consulate, as well as several murders. Or Uganda's The Lord's Resistance Army.
There is violence perpetrated by Christians that is organized and not a lone nut variety. They exist. Are any of those likely current threats to Americans? Outside of the Lord's Army (which advocates the killing of clinic workers and doctors)? Probably not. But Christian led violence is not the case of a couple nuts.
