 Go right ahead.  Atrocities committed by Muslims are a matter of record.  But then, it's not relevent to what I was getting at.  My point was merely that there is now-as in the past a heavy mixing of political and religion that fuels the rage of terrorists-regardless of the religious background. 
**and….so what?  The fact remains that violent behavior is actually and literally spelled out in the Koran.  Not sure I see the point.
 
 There have been times in history where the great acts of cruelty were by people claiming to be Christians.  But many of them were driven as much by political and power mad desire.

It's so intertwined, it makes it unjust to merely connect it it so cleanly as "they were driven by their faith."

 Scott Raeder was driven by faith as well.  But most Christian Pro-lifers wouldn't agree with his actions.  I would say there is something political that pushes the terrorist's faith to justify evil acts.

It is neither justification or moral equivelency...well, it is in the sense that both are wrong and evil.  You seem to presume I am defending terrorists.  In spite of never, ever making such a claim.  But clearly, the mixture of politics and faith can have volitile results.

 For reasons beyond Islam as well.  I am not marginalizing anything here.  I am trying to discuss this in a balanced way...not minimize the actions of terrorists.
