Of course not, but he and I are both entitled to our own befuddlement,
and it isn't limited to the two of us.

Well, thanks. Of course I disagree that this is simplistic thinking,
but it *is* a very straightforward question. "Where the fuck are the
Christians" is a sloppy way of asking it, but the question is: when
even the secular world recognizes the moral sense in doing something
Christ commanded, how are followers of Christ unable to support it?
Particularly when most of their objections revolve around questions of
money, which is something Christ never seemed particularly bothered
about.

Even if you don't agree, surely you *must* recognize why it seems to
make no sense.
