I don’t necessarily have the same motivation, but the end result is the same: I feel a moral responsibility to be a part of the process when I am a) Affected by it b) Taking advantage of it’s benefits. I have spoken harshly on people who sit it out on moral grounds and that is wrong of me. But I admit, I see it was a bit of a cop out to refuse to participate then to complain about how bad the political climate is. I don't think God has given me that out. I am responsible for what I am responsible for, government is responsible for what it is responsible for. This is part of my 'render unto Caesar' duty. My faith is in God, not the government. I do my part and stand obedient before God. That's it.
