I don't know that I disagee, though I think there are a couple Tea Party
republicans that got elected that will support such cuts inlcuding Rand Paul,
Col. West and Marco Rubio,

But what I wonder is why do you support the party that is advocating more
spending?

>Real reductions in federal spending can be achieved only by getting to the
meat of the federal budget, meaning expenditures in all areas. The annual
budget soon will be $5 trillion unless Congress takes serious steps to reduce
spending for entitlements, military, and debt service. Yet how many Tea Party
candidates who campaigned on a platform of spending cuts talked about Social
Security, Medicare, foreign wars, or bond debt?<<

Unlikely. Most of the cuts I see Republicans suggesting will barely make a
dent. There is no way Republicans will cut military spending-which is some of
our heaviest spending. It's a nice dream though.
