I'm not in favor of a "naked public square", but I agree that governmental 
policies, (at least in our current culture), should not be based on religious 
considerations.  The problem, obviously, is that different religion inform a lot 
of different moralities and you have work it out somehow so that those are 
recognize and/or not trampled on.

Certainly. I'm generally in favor of Christians becoming less involved
in government and politics.
