I don't know what planet you're on where you'd expect the police to
possibly shoot a burglar. We had an instance like that here in Omaha a
few years ago, and the officer was fired and the city was sued. Just
as a surgeon has knives at his disposal, and I suppose it's *possible*
that he could start randomly carving up a patient's internal organs
willy-nilly, nobody goes into surgery thinking, "Well, that's is a
possibility..."
