Well, yeah, unfair to compare domestic violence victims to murderers.
But they are both cases where the people aren't *really* "choosing"
what others do to them.

**not really.  A person who chooses to murder knows that it is a crime and knows
the consequence.  The fact is that the death penalty is well known as a possible
consequence whether you agree it is moral or not.  It is also arguable a
realistic consequence.


I mean, you might as well say that murderers serving prison sentences
"chose" to have their cellmates rape them. Not quite.

I don't see what's squishy. I didn't say my views are shared by a
majority of society.

shouldn't you be clear about what society actually wants?
