Hmmm, okay.

I'm trying to think of what apps I have that have needed any personal info
like that. I have an app for my church's bank account, but that's
provided by the bank and doesn't need to be "ad-supported". I have a
bunch of Google apps, but Google has my info anyway. I have a few games
(*love* Sudoku), but don't think any of them have asked me for any info
... though a few of them *are* ad-supported, so who knows.

Does the IMDb app have ads? I know it has access to my location, because
it gives me showtimes at local theatres (which are erroneously labelled
"US theatres", but I guess that's because Canada is considered part of the
domestic American market; still, the app includes showtimes for the local
independent arthouses, so it's not completely big-studio-driven).
