The Mormon subtext of Twilight, you mean?  Well, it has to do with the 
books' portrayal of Native Americans as werewolves (i.e. the "lost tribes" 
in Mormon mythology), and the way the good vampires represent the 
divinization of human beings rather their corruption, and the way the 
Volturi reflect Mormon prejudices against Catholics, etc., etc.
