I have a hard time thinking any union is a good thing any more.  Particular
after what they just pulled in New York.

 

A bad think indeed, but it is no different than management sacrificing the
safety of their workers for profit, or selling harmful products to their
customers.

 

**wrong is still wrong.  Union thug tactics should have made them illegal
long ago.  And I am sorry I blame unions for a decent size chunk of our
problems now, particularly in the pensions.

 

Unions, while they certainly have their negatives, are a vital form of
freedom of association that can be a check on corruption and power.

 

**Not when they are mandatory and are imposed on your regardless of whether
you want to join.  

 

 

We shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water.

 

**That baby died long ago.  Unions had a time and place and a need.  Now
they are corrupt and greedy and are doing more harm than good and they need
to be contained before they destroy us.
