Having a flag makes it political? Really? I can understand the President having a flag there for his addresses to the country. She doesn't represent the country. Right now, she doesn't even represent her state. But I've never been a huge 'wrap yourself in the flag' guy anyway, so (right or wrong) I'm consistent with my preferences. **I have a flag, I better go hide it. Like it or not she is a political figure, and her having a flag is consistent with HER preferences. **I am starting to think you read the complaints about it and did not watch it. She had 4 paragraphs lamenting the shooting. Were they bad? What about the final two calling for the nation to come together? Bad also? I admit I found it humorous that she was pleading for the nation to come together, and in doing so achieved the opposite. Again, I'm not a Sarah-hater. I just now what works for me, and what doesn't, and this speech didn't work for me. **fair enough **and yet she has been branded as the person most at fault. She had no choice but to respond. Of course, she had a choice. She had the ability to let her Saturday FB comments speak for themselves and otherwise stand pat. **yes, seeing your name drug through the mud is always better. Seriously, she did that and the broohahah grew. She was specific targeted for that comment by the left, they said she avoided the issue and was afraid. The whole thing would have blown over almost immediately. **oh no. Not a chance it would have, and no matter what response she gives and no matter how many times they are shown to be wrong, they will still blame the conservatives for this. That’s the meme and it is not scaling down at all. Now, she's kept the focus largely on her to the detriment of the actual tragedy itself. She's not bigger than the deaths of the innocents, but she's pulling as many headlines as the event itself. **she never wanted the focus on her, but who cares. -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
