It might have been through KLYN's Saturday-night rock-music program, which I taped on a few occasions; the programs I taped included songs like 'Dancing on Light' and 'New Car', the latter of which was preceded by a recorded intro by TST which was a heck of a lot more serious than the actual song turned out to be; the Saturday-night show also held a trivia contest every week, and on one occasion it was I who won, and my prize was a vinyl copy of Vox Humana, which became the first DA album in my collection (and when I realized it was Volume III of a four-part series, the completist in me just *had* to pick up the other albums...). But I actually *might* have heard DA through KLYN's regular playlist first; when I got around to picking up the CD version of the band's first album, I was surprised to see that I recognized 'Walking on the Water', because KLYN had played it all the time. As one who had been listening to the Alarma! Chronicles and Horrendous Disc and Darn Floor Big Bite for years, it never occurred to me that the band that made those albums might have recorded that song too. My first exposure to DA was the fall of my Freshman year in college at dance sponsored by the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. 'Dance Stop' was on the DJ's play list...
