Chronicles and Horrendous Disc and Darn Floor Big Bite for years, it never occurred to me that the band that made those albums might have recorded that song too.

My first DA song was "Shotgun Angel" played on Pat Robertson's then-radio station, WXRI. Soon after, I searched the local Christian book stores for the LP. I think it was their harmonies that hooked me, but I was listening to ANYthing on WXRI in those days, to see what would "stick." The station was very liberal in what it played, from Southern Gospel to Andre Crouch to 2nd Chapter of Acts to Larry Norman and Phil Keaggy. Later on, Robertson sold the radio station when he went national with The Family Channel. Never heard as good a radio station since then, but at least I was turned on to DA through the station and, dropping names, now count Keaggy as a personal friend.

Totally unrelated, I slipped on ice in front of the church on Saturday afternoon and broke my right wrist, bad enough that I'll be going in for surgery on Weds. Please say a prayer: it's tough typing with my left hand!
