Strongly agreed on every point except...

I don't remember being so shocked by this. He always knew what the stakes
were and he was so calculating but also so uncompromising that I figure it
wasn't even a difficult decision for him, once he had "lost".

Also, do see "The Plan", aka "A Tale of Two Cavils." :-)

And this didn't bother me either. I figure it made her relationship with
Saul (not to mention Cavil!) even more interesting.
