Well, a part of me was thinking "if it aint broke, don't fix it", but I also
enjoyed the idea of some of the vista features.  I just didn't like their
implementation.

 

Those mac vs PC commercials were devastating because so many of them were
right on the money with Vista.

 

This one was a bit over the top, but in fact it was very true, you had two
choices with security warnings, pretty much all or nothing.

God they were annoying.  Windows 7 is much easier to deal with in that area
too.

 

The other issue with Vista was the massive jump in minimum system
requirements from xp.   That was a bit harsh, but then again, the systems
also jumped a lot.

 

In the end, Vista was not bad preinstalled on a system designed but was
difficult on a system upgrading.

 

With Windows 7 I took my older PC from 2004 and installed it, and it runs
just fine.

There's something to be said for that! Exactly what does it take to motivate
a bunch of millionaires to bust their rears getting an OS update out? I ask
that knowing full well something similar could happen to Apple.
