I never liked his tv show much, but his radio show was pretty fun sometimes.

Well, there goes my 5-6 PM TV watching, but I wasn't a 5-day-a-week viewer
anyway. A shame, though. I do wonder, though, if his injection of religion
got to some of his viewers.

Glenn Beck To Leave His Fox News Show

After months of speculation about Glenn Beck's future at Fox News, the cable
news channel today announced that the controversial host will will exit his
eponymous daily talk show later this year but will remain in business with
the cable news channel. Beck's production company, Mercury Radio Arts, will
develop and produce television projects for air on Fox News as well as
content for other platforms including Fox News' digital properties. "Glenn
Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success
by anybody's standards," Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News said. "I
look forward to continuing to work with him."

 

Glenn Beck said, "I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and
FOX News. I cannot repay Roger for the lessons I've learned and will
continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of
our partnership."

 

As previously speculated, Joel Cheatwood, SVP Development at FOX News, will
be joining Mercury Radio Arts  as EVP, effective April 24. He will serve as
the company's liaison with FOX News. Glenn Beck has posted the biggest
declines among all cable news programs for the past several months,  leading
to speculation that Fox News may not renew Beck's contract, which was up at
the end of the year. But, even with the ratings drops, Glenn Beck continues
to be the third highest rated program on cable news and has averaged more
than 2.2 million total viewers and 563,000 viewers 25-54 years old, despite
airing outside of primetime.
