I think I mentioned at Twitter or Facebook a month or two ago that I had gone down to the States to pick up some mail, and as I was approaching the border guard / customs officer, 'Born in the U.S.A.' came on the radio. And then, when I got back to Canada, I was passing a church that had a *massive* empty parking lot -- made all the more striking by the fact that lots of townhouses were crammed into the neighbouring lot (so one site maximized its space and the other... didn't) -- and I was marvelling at this contrast when, at that precise moment, a cover of that Joan Baez song about paving paradise and putting up a parking lot came on the radio. Bizarre. Hasn't happened again since then, though, and I say this as one who made another trip to the States just yesterday. -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
