Well, if it turns out the Pakistani government was de facto supporting 
Osama bin Laden -- just as the Taliban did a decade ago -- then who knows, 
things might flare up again here, too.  And it won't be on a hunch.

Of course, Pakistan has nukes, which the Taliban did *not* have, so I 
wouldn't expect quite the same set of outcomes here.
