Equal protection under the law is all we should get or want from our govt.

Which is why would should be exploiting our domestic resources.  Offshore, 
Alaska, Dakotas, (Bakken formation), not to mention tar sand ins Canada.

But it's not the govt rewarding or punishing him.   Obviously we 
can accommodate our own behavior in ways that "reward" or cost us based on 
economic realities.
