Actually, that is not what happened here. Note, I gave no indication or statement of opinion either way about Palistine. There was nothing in any of my commentary to suggest I was favoring Palistine. I was specifically trying to get at what was so bad about the speech. His comment didn't address that.
He noted:This is the closest that anyone can say that Bush came to endorsing
pre-67 borders, However, the emphasis was on *secure* borders and the pre-67
borders were not secure.
Well, the speech specified a demilitarized Palestine and *secured* borders. So that can't be a problem he had with the speech. Right?
This part...
>The burden should be on those who want to
>destroy Israel to explain why the Jews shouldn't be able to return to their
>homeland.
I just found that weird...but nothing I said even remotely suggested that I favor the genocide of the Jews.
I suspect if you had a post here about some crime you read about and you said nothing about race, and I said, "Hey, why are you so racist", I would be challenged for a baseless assertion (and rightly so). I was simply surprised. In the past when he has dogged me, we have been able to resolve it amiacably. But here he was condemning me on things I did not say. It isn't about being a martyr... I was just kind of shocked that of all people...I mean you Mike and I disagree on stuff all the time, but we seem to be able to refrain from calling each other idiots on Facebook. I get that it is a bit different here...but on Facebook, anyone can see and might not get that we will work it out. Heck, I have family asking who this guy is.
