I believe I said something along the lines of wondering whether Israel 
even had a "right to exist", or something along those lines.  And I 
believe that was what might have set him off.

But I could be wrong.

I certainly don't think I was saying Israel *doesn't* have a right to 
exist, BTW.  But going into someone else's land, occupying it, and calling 
yourself a country does raise certain issues.
