You'd kind of have to think so ... especially since the Orthodox are one of the least "progressive" Christian denominations around, from a feminist point of view. I mean, we don't allow women to become priests, for example. And I know at least one matushka (priest's wife) who told me she was offended by one of the prayers that is offered for women who have had miscarriages (e.g., "have mercy upon this Thy handmaid, who today lieth in sins, having fallen into manslaughter, casting out, willingly or unintentionally, that which was conceived within her; and forgive her transgressions, voluntary or involuntary"). So if Frank Schaeffer is going to reject religions that are "anti-woman", then I'd really like to hear what he thinks of Orthodoxy right now.
