When we say Jesus is God and the Muslims say no he isn't, I think we've moved beyond semantics.

Could be.  I admit, based on what I've heard of their beliefs, their ideas about God the Father sound *way* more different than their ideas about Jesus... though I don't know whether they'd call him God the Son.  (There's a difference between "God's son" and "God the Son", natch.)
