should drop government funding and also drop the money they spend

I find Steyn's portrayal of Republicans as constantly rolling over to
us liberals rather hard to buy. All we see happen is Barak Obama argue
with Republicans until he gives them everything they want to get one
thing he wants.
**huh? I'd like to when that has ever happened. Or did you forget all
of
the "I won" and "they have to sit in the back" moments?
Aside from December...even back in those days Republicans fought and
never gave in to give the President what he wanted. He had victories
is spite of opposition. And let us not forget, back the health reform
days when folks like Paul Ryan were decrying the fact that his plan was
unpopular, he went ahead instead of listening to the people. Now Ryan
declares he is a leader and cannot pay attention to the concerns of the
people.
Ryan's plan is a guarantee that I, with a pre-existing condition, am in
big trouble when I hit retirement. It might be feasible with leaving
Obamacare in place, as companies cannot just drop me then. But Health
insurance rarely competes for people's dollars. They never have.
