I am looking at it objectively trying ot isolate the failures that led to this. And it is possible the homeowner contributed to those failures. That is all. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Johne Cook Sent: Friday, May 27, 2011 1:47 PM To: DADL (off topic) Subject: Re: [DADL-OT] Marine killed in his own home You're looking at it from a POV sympathetic to the SWAT guys. I'm looking at it from a POV sympathetic to the homeowner. How many guns were pointed at him first? There are rules of engagement that these guys are expected to follow. As far as I know, simply having a weapon pointed at you isn't cause to shoot 71 times. Those guys are trained to be overcareful when it comes to deadly force (or at least they used to be).
