It is a chronic problem in the States with people on medicaid.  And at least 
part of the reason health care costs keep skyrocketing here.  I should have been 
more careful with my very generic use of "you".

Oh, I'd hope not.  I've taken my kids to the emergency room several times (and 
I've gone at least once for myself -- yay, kidney stone!), but never for 
anything as trivial as that.  I mean, even if I had a mind to do that, I'd be 
kind of afraid of the looks I'd get from the hospital staff.
