Honestly, no. I think the cult of celebrity and the scourge of Political
Correctness is such that everyone I saw posting about it was mourning the
death of a celebrity (and a nice sports car) rather than criticizing
somebody who shouldn't have been driving or his 'friends' who didn't think
enough of him to stand up to him, for him, and take his keys.

Roger didn't kill anybody with his throat cancer. I don't see this as an
apples-to-apples comparison.

See above, where I mention that Roger's was the only voice who pointed out
that he shouldn't have been driving at all, and that this death was
self-inflicted, and that he took another person with him. He was lucky to
have only killed himself and his passenger. No crocodile tears here.
