I use an Ashdown MAG C210T-300 (http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=78) and really like the sound I get from it. Only weighs 35 lbs. --- In [email protected], "soulman928" <soulman928@...> wrote: > > Now, I brought three combos, that I thought would be good for a five string bass, and boy, was I wrong. The "new" Acoustic bass amp, the B100, is a good amp, but it is quite heavy for me. I tried a Pignose Hog 30, but then, I found out , it doesn't have the output ,that I need. Now, I seen a Peavey combo, with a 12 in it, and I believe, it has a peak range of 80 watts? I think , that would work, so, doesn't anybody out there in bass land, tried one of those? The Fenders are good too, but , the weight factor, was a factor to me.I have a weight limit put on me, from my doctors, so I really can't take a "shot in the Dark", in this matter, plus my "funds" are limited also. Before my physical condition, came into being, I used to carry around , a Acoustic 136, "back in the day", and it was a really good bass amp. And, I always wanted a compact Kustom 150, with the single 15, great bass tone. For those guys, from Back in the day, whats your favorite bass amp? Sunn, Acoustic 370 or 360, the Ampeg SVT, or the most underrated fender bass amp, the models, 400PS, and the "bass" Dual Showman. And, then, The Kustoms. I seen, Plushes, Oranges,Kent, Vox, and a weird amp called the The Olvier, (where the head came up from within it!)Gibson, made a few. My uncle had a Danelectro, with reverb for bass? Trayor, etc. And, I know many bass players , Back then, brought the Fender bassman, with the two 12's, with wasn't that good for bass after all.
