and it's a hell of a lot easier to just move to the "B" sting then it is to=

What model is the KAy? If you want to sell it I would be interested. (I sol=

mine like 20 years ago and have been in the "Electric BAss" business ever s=

I kinda would like to get back into the "real" bass world again.=20

I'm considering buying an Electric Upright Bass (EUB), and am absolutely=20
clueless about these contraptions. Amongst my small collection of bass guit=

(two), I also own an older laminated blond Kay bass. Last week, while I was=

tuning it up just before a gig, my low E-string broke. That's never happene=

that instrument in the 20-some years I've owned it. Lucky for me, I had an =

gut string to replace it, but unlucky for me, after the gig, when I took it=
 to a=20
local string shop, the repairman pointed out a few problems with the instru=
ment=20
that altogether adds up to about $1000.00 . So, this has me contemplating=20
replacing the Kay with an EUB. I've done a little online research and came=

across a few that seem interesting:=20


Stagg (a couple different models)
NS Design (also a couple different models)
Cecilio CEDB-1DW
Palatino VE-500
Dean Pace=20

Any thoughts/opinions on any of these?
