I had to do a spot at a Burns Night (held by our Scottish friends - wife al= so Scottish) as well, but the timing went wrong and they left it too late i= n the night and as I was a bit worse for wear and by that time like, Eric M= orecambe was playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right o= rder. I visit your site every few weeks and I have just noticed that you have upd= ated it, I will try and spot the difference. Perhaps you might include a l= ink to my site on it - I understand that the Google search engine ranks bas= ed on the number of incoming links. He sells Tombo and Suzuki Tremol= o harmonicas as well as some CDs the latest of which is the excellent CD "H= armonica" by Henry Creaney, played on tremolo harmonica. The link for the s= ite is: http://www.davesharmonicas.com/index.htm I make the usual disclaimer that I have nothing to benefit. Also, I am building a web site myself, link below, currently called "Scot= tish Harmonica". It is far from finished so I welcome any suggestions for i= mprovement. I am thinking of broadening it to encompass all British folk ha= rmonica. There is an excellent video on the "Events" page of Donald Black, accompa= nied by Donnie MacKenzie, performing "Don Chuthaig" at the NHL (National Ha= rmonica League) Festival in Bristol last October. He plays part of it with = that "mandolin" effect he gets on the tremolo by using a sort of throat vib= rato. Best Regards Dave Hambley Hi Dave! I'm waiting for my Echo tremolos to wear out so that I can buy some of th= ose crackin' good Tombos from Dave. Good luck with the Scottish harmonica s= ite - yours and mine should make a killer pair! I was a bit desperate for s= ome Scottish tunes for our Burns' Night gig a couple of weeks ago. I usuall= y use my Paddy Richter retuned blues harps for nearly everything but I reso= rted to the tremolo far more that night. I was the Jimmy Shand of Bude for = just that night! Irish is really my thing but I have a good few Northumbria= n tunes under my belt as well. I'll definitely be looking out for more Scot= tish.
