hi all,
very interesting question practicing. heres how i do it. first
of all i listen to a lot of music, and i mean all types, genres, etc.
when i eventually find a tune that i like. i put it on a tape or cd.
and play it lots of times in my car while driving around.
after a while, i get "a feel" for it and then decide
how i can best interprate this particular tune my way on harmonica.
i honestly believe that any tune is enhanced by different
players "interpreting" the tune to suit their own style.
of course we all know that music is very emotional. ,
and that is what makes any particular tune great.
the harmonica is probably the best instrument (after the
human voice) to express emotion.
my advice.- practice any way that enhances your
playing. but remember. you must play from your heart.
dave.
