On my system, steem is pretty stable. Some of the problems that I do have
stem from the Direct Sound settings. Also, make sure to set ST CPU to 8 mhz.

I'm running Steem version 2.61 with TOS 2.06

K5Editor Pro  & Caged artists don't crash for me. So I'm thinking its the
config on your system. Try uninstalling, re-downloading and setting it up
again.  Follow the directions on the Steem website carefully.

The one thing that can cause Steem to crash on my system is the Sound
configuration for the audio output from Steem. Mine is now set to Direct and
44.1 khz. I've attached my Steem.ini file, just in case it might help you to
replace (back yours up first) it with mine. I have created the following in
the steem directory:

a-drive
c-drive - all my programs are in here
d-drive - more programs in here

I don't know, doesn't look like it. There are filters you can build, look on
Kfuenf.org's website, I think there is a design for one there.

Not that I know of, but there is java sourcecode for the K5000s editor at
perso.wandado.fr/xazahouse (download the editor, it includes the source).

mine don't buzz, but they are a bit on the noisy side (hiss).

Sounds like you might have an electrical problem, maybe grounding? Try a
different outlet, or use a hum eliminator. Open the K5m and see if the
ground wires are connected.
