again, it's midi active sensing. you can filter it out via software (some midi patchbay with midi filters allow it too)... 

but what's your problem with it? it does not do anything bad midi-wise! or is the blinking causing you any neurological problem? :)

and there's no reset for the K5 (nor for the K1 or K4 or XD-5)... only K3 has reset. the other synth don't have ROM stored patches.
