Hi Greg,
  Have you read Message 23980 and 23981? Check back and follow the 
recommendations.  It's not enough to read the manuals at the couch.  
You need to read and work through the short tutorials right at the 
Karma.  Nothing replaces guided (print out the docs) hands on 
experience.  Start with Bear's and Robs, then go through the Basic 
Guide, followed by the FAQs. Forget the Parameter Guide for now.  

The other MUST resource is a set of specific Karma forums that you 
should read or post your questions to and follow the responses. I'm 
refering to KLF KARMA LAB FORUMS http://www.karma-lab.com/forum/ 

  You do not need MW unless you want to develop or create your own 
GEs (not an easy task).  In addition, this software is not very 
intuitive, but it is powerful.

So, again, I emphasize:
1. Print out the tutorials.
2. Take them (and other support docs) over to your Karma and work 
through them at the Karma.
3. Ask questions (provide details) from the support groups, here or 
in one of the specific forums over at KLF.
4. Follow up and threads/posts that interest you.
5. Be patient but persistent in your learning.

As for your latter comments, I couldn't agree more.
