Hello there everyone,
I'm a new member of this group having just purchased a used Karma.
Best synthesizer/music machine ever created in my opinion, and I've
owned/still-own many of the best ones too.
At any rate, it seems I may have discovered a bug. Two combis in bank
E lock my machine up whenever they're accessed. I was scrolling thru
the combis while at same time hitting the chord buttons, quickly
trying out different sounds as the combis were scrolled thru, when my
Karma locked up. I figured it was just a random lock-up, maybe even
due to the machine trying to do too much at once - sound the chords
and quickly change presets one after another. I found that when doing
the same action again, it locked up again in the same way. Then I
started to investigate it. I found that number 64 and 74 combis in
bank E lock the machine up whenever accessed. So tried
copying/writing another combi from bank A into the problem combis. The
first try locked up the machine again, and I discovered after powering
up that the bank A combi ended up being written to the first combi in
bank E instead of number 64. Now I'm worried if I try to reload
version 2.0 that it too will lock the machine before the operating
system is complete, thus possibly making my machine unusable.
Does anyone have experience or familiarity with this problem? Should I
try reloading the OS to clear-out/reset these two combis?
Thanks,
Alan
