Re: Care and caution needed when loading Triton PCGs into Karma.

Wow, we've really covered all areas of this topic.
You're right. If you copy another program into a
program slot that a combi is looking for that program
slot to be strings, and its some synth sound now, then
that combi would be thrown off. Like I said, this
should seem logical to every person that understands
how overwriting programs and combis work. 

Everyone whos into buying combi's probably wants some
fresh sounds anyway, and has the ability to save thier
old pcgs and back them up. I've seen rebates on 3.5
floppys where you buy like 20 for $5.99 and mail in a
full refund, so its not like they are in short supply.
Any Office Depot, Best Buy, Frys, or Walmart will have
these very cheap. 

Its easy to get the perception that backing up and
loading new sounds is hard based off the emails of a
few people having trouble with it on some forums, but
be well aware there are thousands of users who change
thier programs and combis from day one. You're
certainly not going to "corrupt" your karma as long as
you understand how to backup and load pcgs, this is
one of the first things any synth user should know how
to do since the days of programmable synths. 

A lot of people may grow tired of the Karma Combis in
just a couple hours. For myself I noticed that there's
only a couple different once that fall into certain
genres, so if you're wanting to make music, thats
original, keeping all of the old programs and combis
in there is just not an option. 

Let me get back to you on loading moss into other
banks. I was almost sure you could do that. Just go
into the sub osc pages and select your moss, internal
pcgs, or exbs as the osc, then select your wav form
number.
