Karma 2 (K2) is so much better. Stephen took to heart most of the
suggestions that were made here and more so over at KLF (Karma Lab
Forums). You really need to get involved with the discussion at KLF.
There are a series of Forums not only dedicated to the Karma, but to
Karma-Triton, MW, Karma Technology, Combis and Programs, etc. and now
a set of Forums specifically for the OASYS. For all things KARMA,
KLF is THE place to be.
As for comparing Karma 1 with Karma 2, again, you need to go to KLF
or Irishs Acts Korg Forums. All the experts including the design
team participate regularly there. My limited comparison would be as
such - the orginal Karma Keyboard is a Lexus; the OASYS is a 40 foot
Cruiser Yacht.
Out of the box, the Karma has 1190 Factory GEs. OASYS has twice
that. True there are 3rd party GEs including mine that take the
Karma up to 1500 GEs - BUT, once all the slots have been filled,
that's it. The OASYS being software based, potentially is limited
only by the size of it's hard drive... I can see that doubling again.
Is the OASYS really worth so much more? Let's put it this way, if
you can negotiate a price that will help you cross the line, go for
it. I am just about there.
