Hi, Eric:
Thanks for the info on the L/R out. . . you confirmed my thinking that I'd need a card in my computer. I just haven't wanted to mate my synths with the computer (since many years ago in the Cakewalk days). I'm going to MIDI in and maybe start using the KARMA MW software and the RADIAS (when it's ready to be shipped ; ) will come with a USB cable and software.
It's hard to resist the Legacy Collection(s) but without taking the leap to computer sequencing, well. . . . . would be pointless, right(?)

Hi Wayne,
Remember MIDI out to your recorder send no sound, only MIDI data.
Your single audio out jack from your computer does carry a stereo
signal, but you really don't want to do that. You need a reasonable
sound card or USB interface that has both a L and R channel out along
with MIDI in and out or even better SPDF, optical, or other digital
out, if your recorder can handle these signals. Or as you say, just
record the .wav in your computer and burn to CD.
Now, if all you want to do is audition what you are doing, then just
use computer stereo headphones. I guess it depends on what you want
to do.
Cheers,
Eric

the MS20 and by squishing the range between the High and Low pass
filters and playing around with the oscillation wave and time -- got
a sound sound like that spring whap-whap sound in Frankenstein. . .I
know you can set the filter cuttoffs in KARMA and Edgar may have then
just added some pitching bening or a pitch envelope(?). I'm kind of
a synthesis dummy and usually stumble across sounds like this when
trying to create something "beautiful" : ).

don't sequence/mix/burn on the computer and could send MIDI out to my
mixer/burner -- but how would the sound get out of my computer as I
have no L/R Mix Out ports? Would I have to burn a CD on the computer
to get the sound out of my computer?
