I've had the Rm1x' since it came out, I know how bad-ass it is as a sequencer, RM1X

mixed with the KARMA function your looking powerful sequencing with alot of RTFM and

  trial and error.

Since Tracks 1-4 on Rm1x are playing Karma's drums, I'd recommend loading the MIDI

files of the RM1x into the Karma and using the Karma as the master and the Rm1x as the

slave. Whatever voices on the RM1X you don't want to sound just turn the channels vol to 0

ON THE RM1X so the same channel on the Karma isn't muted.

Beside, with Karma as the MIDI master you can use the KARMA function on the RM1X..if

it can handle it...if you know the Rm1X well you know it stutters when its real busy.

HI,

I'm trying to use My Yamaha RM1X with my Karma.

I like to play tracks 1-4(DRUM part of RM1x) of The RM1X On My
Karma, and Have the Karma
as my Melody,Bass, and /or lead.

I got the MIdi cable going from the Out Of the Rm1X to the IN of the
Karma the the Out of the Karma to the In Of The RM1X.

Now on the Karma Global Settting It Is set to Midi Channel 1 going
on the Internal Clock of the Karma. In Sequnencer mode of the Karma
I selects Tracks 1 thru 4 on DRUM. The other channels are on the
Sound I want... Am I doing this right? I think there is something I
missing. CAn I SEt Midi Channels 1 thru 4 of the RM1x to play on
Tracks 1 thru 4 of the Karma?

I am Getting Some tracks of the Rm1x but not all I want.. .

And the other problem is the Volume of the Drum beat and Voice of the
Karma Rises and Falls wheather I playing the Karma or not.

However The overall sound is VERy Good.
