i found one topic that had a similar situation and stephens answer was -

One way to force a GE to loop a shorter portion than its full length is the "Freeze Loop Length" parameter.

Go to 6.2-3 [Mdl] [Parm3], and set Freeze Loop Length for Module A to "4". Now it will loop only the first 4 bars, and not bars 5-8 which have the stop fill in it.""""

which sounded like what i wanted .. but it didn't alter my pattern :(     the fill was still in ( bit like  Genesis re-formed! )  o
