I've got this problem in my Karma too.

I opened it up, sprayed ll the buttons with contact cleaner liquid, cleaned them well. It helped.
Had to do it several times over the years. I own my Karma since 2004, I think.

Recently I had to replace (solder) two buttons that almost went out completely. An easy job, actually, if you have reasonable soldering skills and basic tools.

Mail me for more details on re-soldering buttons, if you want.

General advice - keep the instrument in smoke and dust free enviroment, and clean dust off it it. Vacuum cleaning helps.

I bought my Karma is 2001, and I'm experiencing problems with the
buttons. I push it and it won't change. Just wondering if anyone else
  has this problem.
  Thanks,
  Denny
