Greetings folks,
I too had problems with buttons malfunctioning. So, with the help of my tech-savvy step
son, we opened the maroon monster to see what could be the problem. We discovered that
the problems were caused by the breaking of a little black switch that sits under the button
or pad (chord trigger). I called Korg Canada parts dept to inquire about replacement
switches and to my surprise they were really cheap. So, I ordered them and when they
arrived, my step son and I went about removing the broken ones and replaced and spot
soldered the new ones.
It's not an easy task even if you know what you are doing. If you are tech-savvy, get to it. It
can be done. However, if not, send your Karma in for servicing. Those switches are common
and should be available, but call first.
Cheers,
Eric
