Alex probably has a few of those. I know I've purchased at least two K2500R system/CPU boards from him, but my feeling is $40 for a faceplate in good condition sounds low -- I'd ask for at least $60. You might want to look for "parts or not working" items on eBay and "Contact seller", ask if they have the faceplate you want for the price you want to pay. Looking at the completed listings on eBay, the lower end of the price spectrum seems to have units that look like they've been through a war while the better looking ones are a bit more expensive. Do that a few times to get a feel for what they're worth (or at least what folks may want for them.) If I were in Alex's position, I'd be doing the same.
I've purchased quite a few Kurzweil parts from Alex, and when I reach out he usually asks for an offer from me. Most of the time I come in good for him with my offer, and a few times he's asked for more, but it was always an equitable affair with him.
Really, I can't recommend him highly enough. I think he's gone way over the top on a few of the K2600 parts I've purchased from him, so he's always my go-to first call when it comes to these items. He will respond, it just may take a bit of time, and patience is usually rewarded...
